ISHS debuts on “YouTube”

Illinois State Historical Society members unable to attend the recent 2009 Illinois History Symposium in Jacksonville can now go back in time for two of the sessions, thanks to the efforts of the Illinois State Library’s “IDA” (Illinois Digital Archives) program. Library staffers set up digital recorders at Illinois College for two of the symposium’s luncheon speakers, Dr. Wayne Temple, Deputy Director of the Illinois State Archives and author of nine books about Abraham Lincoln; and Dr. Michael Burlingame, Professor of History Emeritus at Connecticut College in New London, Connecticut, author and editor of numerous books about Lincoln including Abraham Lincoln: A Life (2008 University of Virginia Press).
