31st Annual Illinois History Symposium

“Abolition: The Spark that Ignited the Second American Revolution"

April 14-16, 2011
Southern Illinois University, Carbondale, Illinois

 

The Illinois State Historical Society will hold its 31st annual Illinois History Symposium on the campus of Southern Illinois University-Carbondale April 14-16, 2011. The theme for the symposium is "Sacred Oaths and Shallow Graves: Illinois and the Civil War, Part I."

Scholarly papers, panels, PowerPoint presentations, educational workshops for teachers, and multi-media programs will be considered, as well as non-traditional presentations will be given.
