The ISHS Centennial Awards

The 2009 Illinois State Historical Society Centennial Awards Reception will be held at the Governor’s Mansion in Springfield on Saturday afternoon, October 3, 2009.  The 2010 Centennial Awards will recognize Sesquicentennial Churches. Applications and Nominations are due January 15, 2010.

Since 1984 more than 1,100 Illinois corporations have become Centennial honorees, ranging from the Chicago White Sox and the AMEREN-Corporation to the Auburn Citizen newspaper and Yorkville National Bank.

If you know a church celebrating its sesquicentennial in 2010, please encourage them to submit an application (deadline: January 10, 2010).
